Matthew Jewell
Founder and Managing Partner
Matt is the founder and managing partner of Jewell Capital, LLC. Matt is responsible for the overall strategic vision of Jewell Capital, sourcing and structuring new investment opportunities, as well as capital relationships with investors and lenders. Matt has more than 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry with extensive experience on both the debt and equity side of the business.

Matt is the founder and managing partner of Jewell Capital, LLC. Matt is responsible for the overall strategic vision of Jewell Capital, sourcing and structuring new investment opportunities, as well as capital relationships with investors and lenders. Matt has more than 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry with extensive experience on both the debt and equity side of the business.
Prior to starting Jewell Capital, Matt spent 12 years at LNR Partners and Starwood Property Trust. Matt was a key member of the LNR Partners management team and held several critical roles during his tenure. Matt was the Chief Operating Officer of US Asset Services and Director of Special Resolutions where he oversaw the disposition of $12Bn of commercial real estate and non-performing loans. As the CIO of Equity Investments, Matt built and managed a team responsible for the sourcing, structuring, underwriting, and closing of real estate and non-performing loan investments. During his time at LNR/Starwood Matt was involved in the deployment of over $1Bn of real estate debt and equity.
Prior to joining LNR, Matt worked in Bank of America’s Wealth Management Group and as an equity & options trader at a boutique securities firm in New York City. Matt holds a B.A. from Williams College.

Anthony is a Founding Partner and Principal of Jewell Capital, LLC where he focuses on identifying, underwriting, and structuring new investment opportunities and strategic partnerships throughout the U.S. Over his fifteen-year career in the finance and real estate industries, Anthony has managed the acquisition, development, and origination of over $2 billion of debt and equity investments across all major property types.
Anthony Andrade

Anthony is a Founding Partner and Principal of Jewell Capital, LLC where he focuses on identifying, underwriting, and structuring new investment opportunities and strategic partnerships throughout the U.S. Over his fifteen-year career in the finance and real estate industries, Anthony has managed the acquisition, development, and origination of over $2 billion of debt and equity investments across all major property types.
Prior to Jewell Capital, Anthony served as the Vice President of Finance for Faena Group on the company’s Faena District Miami Beach development, a $1.2 billion luxury mixed-use project in the heart of Miami Beach, FL.
Prior to Faena, Anthony spent three years at LNR Partners (Starwood Property Trust) as an Associate in the company’s Special Situations Group where he was responsible for analyzing, acquiring, and closing fair value acquisitions, bridge loan originations, and large-scale development projects. Prior to LNR/Starwood, Anthony was a consultant for real estate development firms in New York, NY on various development/redevelopment projects in Manhattan and Brooklynn. He has also held previous roles as an associate for a national brokerage house and a development analyst for a private developer in Los Angeles and the Bay Area.
Anthony obtained a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a M.S. in Real Estate Development from Columbia University. He is currently located in the company’s Miami, FL office.

Octavio is a Principal of Jewell Capital, LLC where he oversees the management, leasing and repositioning of assets within Jewell Capital’s portfolio. Octavio’s additional responsibilities include acquisitions, due diligence, investor reporting and managing relationships with JV Partners and service providers.

Octavio’s additional responsibilities include acquisitions, due diligence, investor reporting and managing relationships with JV Partners and service providers.
Octavio has over 14 years of experience in commercial real estate management, leasing, acquisitions and dispositions. Prior to joining Jewell Capital, Octavio spent 10 years at LNR Partners and Starwood Property Trust. At Starwood, Octavio was responsible for the management and leasing oversight of a commercial real estate portfolio with a value in excess of $250MM. Octavio’s additional responsibilities included due diligence, underwriting and closing of real estate transactions for the equity portfolio. Prior to this role, Octavio was a Vice President of Real Estate Asset Management at LNR Partners where he was responsible for the management, leasing, stabilization and disposition of over $750MM of assets. In addition, Octavio was involved in the due diligence and underwriting of over $1Bn in CMBS loan B-Piece Acquisitions.
Prior to LNR, Octavio was a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers within their financial services audit division. Octavio graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Business Administration from University of the Pacific.
